The First Thursday of the Month – Pig Painting
Families and businesses throughout metro Denver are raising money for Families First as part of the “Drive for Community $Change$”. This unique fundraising program encourages people to adopt a piggy bank, to keep it in a prominent place at home or work and fill in with “change.” Before the piggy banks are adopted, children, students and adults paint the pigs in creative and imaginative designs.

Steppin’ Out ...to the Kentucky Derby
At Infinity Park Event Center
4400E. Kentucky Ave.
This year we will be Steppin’ Out…at the Kentucky Derby and hope that you will join us! All proceeds from the evening go directly to Families First to help fund our multiple programs that empower parents, strengthen families and most importantly prevent the cycle of child abuse and neglect.
We are excited about the event theme this year and look forward to a high energy, interactive evening. It will start with an online auction and extraordinary baskets to bid on during cocktails, followed by dinner, a live auction and dancing until midnight! There will be a special performance by Lannie Garrett and her incredible band! Visualize hats, ascots, mint juleps, betting on horses, dining and dancing as those in the “Millionaire Club” would the night before The Run for the Roses! Additionally, Jim and Shery Galbreath will open the barn doors of their 40 acre ranch for a fabulous brunch.

Country Fair Roams Wild
at the Wildlife Experience! The Country Fair Roams Wild! is an off shoot of the “piggy bank” fundraising program called the Drive for Community $Change$. Supporters fill hand-painted piggy banks with pocket change and return the pigs to Families First when they are full. Once a year, Families First hosts a Piggy Bank Weigh-In party, the Country Fair Roams Wild, where supporters can bring in their previously adopted pig or adopt a new one! The Country Fair Roams Wild is one of the few fundraising events in the Denver area in which parents are strongly encouraged to bring their children. A host of activities have been scheduled to keep everyone busy and entertained—from face painting, to carnival games, plus all the wildness the museum has to offer!
