The First Thursday of the Month – Pig Painting
Families and businesses throughout metro Denver are raising money for Families First as part of the “Drive for Community $Change$”. This unique fundraising program encourages people to adopt a piggy bank, to keep it in a prominent place at home or work and fill in with “change.” Before the piggy banks are adopted, children, students and adults paint the pigs in creative and imaginative designs.

at the Park Meadows Mall
Similar to the “Chicago Cows”, the Pigs on Pedestals gives individuals and corporations an opportunity to sponsor a designer pig as part of the “Drive for Community $Change$” fundraising program. The wonderful Designer Pigs are on display at Park Meadows Mall and auctioned at the Country Fair in July.

Country Fair
The Country Fair is the culmination of a fundraising program called the Drive for Community $Change$. Supporters fill hand-painted piggy banks with pocket change and return the pigs to Families First when they are full. Once a year, Families First hosts a Piggy Bank Weigh-In party, the Country , where supporters can bring in their previously adopted pig or adopt a new one! The Country Fair is one of the few fundraising events in the Denver area in which parents are strongly encouraged to bring their children. A host of activities have been scheduled to keep everyone busy and entertained—from face painting, to carnival games, plus all the features that the host facility has to offer!
